Taiko is the most energetic world drumming style, full of shouts, lunges, jumps and beats you'd expect from the "Martial Arts" of percussion. Sensei Simon will lead the students through rhythms with games and exercises suited for all ages.

Experience the power, energy, and artistry of Japanese taiko drumming with a dynamic performance by one of Perth's dedicated taiko ensembles.

The group's name is more than a team cry, inspiring members to focus all of their energy, passion, and determination into the drums. The Japanese characters that form the name also resonate with the meaning "Sound of the Drum," reflecting the spirit and tradition at the heart of every performance.

Drawing from a wide variety of backgrounds, the members of this vibrant troupe come together through a shared love of Japanese drumming. Through disciplined study and powerful performances, they celebrate the rich cultural traditions of taiko while bringing its excitement and energy to audiences across Perth.

This session is suitable for children of all ages.

Families are welcome but priority will be given to the young people.

• 11.30am-12pm (ages 5-8)
• 12pm-12:30pm (ages 9-12)
• 12:30pm-1pm (ages 12-17)
