Spicy Music Takeover

SPICYMUSIC TAKEOVER x In The Hanging Garden

SPICYMUSIC is one of Australia’s longest standing and leading techno movements, which has been running parties and raves since 2015, showcasing both International and local DJs and producers.

For the first time in their over 10 year history, SPICYMUSIC will be making it down to Hobart for a takeover of the Hanging Garden from 8-12pm. The takeover will feature SPICYMUSIC founders Gyps & Spice and three core members of the SPICYMUSIC crew, Allan Pillai, Clay Crosier and WUD.

Gÿps & Spice

A techno duo from Lutruwita (Tasmania/Australia) who have been at the forefront of the underground scene since 2013, with various local and interstate performances including closing out Dark Mofo 2026 on the MainStage. Their style has been labeled groovy & energetic, psychedelic & tribal.

Clay Crosier

A constant across the Tassie music scene, he is a regular at Revel, SpicyMusic and underground parties all over Tasmania. Expect to hear playful, rhythmic, stripped back grooves from this Tassie devil.

WUD

A core member of the SPICYMUSIC crew, WUD (Liam Wood) has been DJing since 2018, with techno at the centre of his sound. His selections favour restraint and subtle progression over excess, built on groove, tension, and repetition.

Allan Pillai

An established artist based amongst the thralling underground electronic music scene in Australia, his artistic vision is characterised by a relentless pursuit of sonic experimentation. Allan’s music seeks to transport listeners to states of hypnosis and cathartic movement.
