Full Moon Music and Cultural Festival

If you're looking for a family-friendly evening blending live music, culture and rooftop magic, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival at Roombe Rooftop, Burwood Brickworks is worth adding to the calendar.

This September, the rooftop transforms into an enchanting festival space with fairy lights, lanterns, romantic styling and a giant glowing moon. A stunning glasshouse means the festival can be enjoyed rain, hail or shine. The live music line-up includes ABIA Award-winning Lavely Music and Shanghai Duo, whose vintage Shanghai jazz evokes the glamour of a bygone era, with organisers hinting at a surprise flash mob.

Designed for all generations, the festival offers food and drink, family photography, cultural performances and plenty of space for children to explore. It's also pet-friendly. Guests are encouraged to embrace the celebration by dressing in cultural attire. Hanfu hire, plus professional hair and makeup styling, will be available onsite. A traditional Chinese shadow puppet performance will bring the legendary story behind the Mid-Autumn Festival to life, offering an entertaining introduction to its history and symbolism.
