Bringing together multiple generations of musicians, together they create a love song to the natural world - to Australian grasslands filled with colour and life. From Art Song to Guitar Ensemble to field recordings of creeks and birds, this is a soundworld that brings wonder, gratitude and calm. Featuring: Sound design and compositions by Meredith Connie; vocal stylings of Christelise de Graaf and the extraordinary youth ensemble the Melbourne Suzuki Guitar Ensemble.
La Mama, Australia's most iconic intimate theatre, was founded in 1967 by Betty Burstall returning from the coffee-house theatre scene in New York City. Nowadays the coffee and biscuits are still free, you can still chat with the artists after the show, and the famous La Mama raffle still thrills.
You simply cannot leave Melbourne without having seen a show at its beloved La Mama Theatre.
