Music Makers Just for Minis (Cloverdale Location)

If you know Curate, you know we just adore crafting and music. But do you know what is even better? When we combine them together! 🎨🎼

Music Makers Just for Minis combines crafting and music to create engaging play-based experiences that are just perfect for your little tot who is not yet school-aged (children aged 2- to 5- years old). 🪇

Join us in fun-filled 40-minute sessions where your little one first creates a craft project which is then used in our music project of the day. Each week, we have a different theme, so our craft projects and music experiences are constantly changing! ✏️

We seriously get into our crafting, so we encourage you both wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. We also love our musical experiences, so do not be surprised if we get moving and grooving in these sessions. Please wear clothes that do not restrict your movements or ones that are too loose or fall down your body. 👟

Your little one will explore the fundamentals of crafting (including gross and fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, cognitive development and sensory integration) and music (including rhythm, pitch, intonation and aural skills) each session - and they get to keep and take home each week's craft project as their session keepsake! ✂️

These sessions are created by industry experts, including our arts specialist, Pippa, and our music specialist, Patricia, who are dedicated to your creative learning journey and the development of your creative expression. 🎭

Each session is heaps of fun for you and your little one (with all materials included!).👌

Your ticket includes:

🖌️ free music maker/craft materials (thanks to the support of the City of Belmont!)

These sessions are dedicated to our younger engagers and are designed for each young participant to be accompanied throughout the session. Mums, dads, grandparents and carers are all welcome!👌🐣

NB This is not a 'drop and leave' session. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times throughout the session.

These sessions are capped at ❣️ 25 participant duos ❣️ per session, in order to ensure the best possible experience.

This workshop is located in the Children's Space, Ruth Faulkner Library, 213 Wright St, Cloverdale WA 6105, Australia.

Parking

Visitor parking is located throughout the Faulkner Civic Precinct, and includes 30-minute, two-hour and four-hour bays. Please check signs for parking time limits as these are strictly enforced. Please note that parking cannot be guaranteed.

Free all-day parking is available on the corner of Wright Street and Belmont Avenue (450m, five-minute walk). Please contact Library and Museum staff if you require an all-day parking map at 9477 7150 or libraryandmuseum@belmont.wa.gov.au.

Several bus routes stop directly in front of the Belmont Hub at the Wright Street bus stop. Plan your journey with Transperth. There is a taxi rank just across the road at Belmont Forum.

Caregiver Participation

We want your child to get the most out of our Music Maker Just for Minis sessions, so we encourage you to join in at the sessions. It's more than OK to make mistakes and to explore at Music Maker Just for Minis.

Modelling, singing along and attempting the crafts are all a part of the process. They help to build your child's confidence and assist in their developmental goals.

These sessions are all about exploring creativity and learning core skills essential for future school successes. Joining in also creates one-in-a-lifetime bonding moment for you and your little one, too.

And if you get stuck, don't fear. Our facilitators are there to answer all the questions and to help you out if you need assistance.

Fine Print

Please note that photographs and videos may be taken of the event for promotional purposes only (including social media).

In accordance with hygiene requirements, hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use, too, in order to help ensure the safety of staff, artists and guests.
