Fun and excitement is on offer again at the 2026 Golden Mount Festival held in Mount Morgan from 1 May to 3 May. Now in its 48th year, the Golden Mount Festival offers a family movie night and barbecue and a spectacular fireworks display on Friday, 1 May at the No. 7 Dam.
On Saturday, 2 May, the festival kicks off early with the Morgan Street Markets, the annual Gold Dig, street procession and entertainment throughout the day.
The traditional event, Running the Cutter will again challenge runners and drinkers alike.
The weekend concludes with a Big Dam Breakfast at the big dam on Sunday held by the Mount Morgan State High School P&C committee at the Big Dam and the Gold Rush Rodeo at Newman Oval.
