Join us for a national festival of Contact Improvisation, bringing together communities from across Australia and beyond! The Australian Contact Festival is a supportive, light hearted gathering for collective expression in the dance medium of Contact Improvisation holding to the values of creativity, community, embodied connection and unity. The festival seeks to pay homage to the roots of Contact Improvisation whilst holding spaces exploring the edges of contemporary ideas.

What to Expect:

- Classes, labs and facilitated explorations.

- Classic offerings including the Underscore, Live Music Jam and Performance Jam Night.

- A spacious sprung dance floor immersed in bushland, with direct access to the lake and beach.

- Shared catered lunches and dinners.

- Opportunities to volunteer and contribute.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Lake Ainsworth’s tea-tree waters and the Pacific coastline, the festival offers a contained space away from the bustle of town—an invitation to exchange, learn, grow and connect.

Date/Times:

Arrival and check-in: Friday 2 October from 2pm

Closing dance: Monday 5 October at 10:30pm

Optional overnight stay Monday

Final check-out: Tuesday 6 October at 10am

Tickets are sold as full-festival passes only
