Professor Andy Koronios PhD is the Chief Executive Officer and

Managing Director of the Australasian Space Innovation Institute.

He was recently honoured to be appointed member of the

International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) for his pivotal role in

Australia's space sector. He led the establishment of the SmartSat

Cooperative Research Centre-a $270million university-industry

collaboration in space technologies, the largest in Australia. His

work focuses on using space technologies to address real world

challenges.

Beyond technology, Andy is motivated by the questions of

meaning, ethics and human responsibility. He draws heavily on

the philosophy of Stoicism applying its principles to leadership,

decision-making and everyday life. Andy migrated to Australia

from Sparta, Greece as a teenager in the early 70's with little

English and few resources.

Book your place to hear Professor Andy Koronios share the remarkable journey that took him from migrant beginnings to leading groundbreaking space innovation in Australia.
