Country Rocks Fest

Get ready for a huge night of coastal country as Country Rocks Fest rolls into Ellis Beach Bar & Grill on Saturday 9 May.

Headlining the night are Far North Queensland’s own The Roadtrippers – the soundtrack to northern Australia, described by Richard Fidler as “The Doors meets Jack Kerouac & Slim Dusty”, with songs steeped in hot tar, red dirt and outback stories from the Top End.

They’re joined by Luke O’Shea, one of Australia’s most awarded country storytellers, a multiple Golden Guitar winner known for powerful songs that “sing up country” and celebrate the people and places of regional Australia.

From Melbourne, Julian James brings his moonshine-drinking Americana and Hill Country blues – whiskey-soaked vocals, front-porch fingerpicking and high-energy roots tunes honed across years of festivals and long-haul touring.

Opening the night is FNQ favourite Big Pups, delivering foot-stomping country, big-hearted originals and sing-along covers that get the whole crowd moving.

Set against the backdrop of palm trees and the Coral Sea, Country Rocks Fest is your perfect autumn Saturday: cold drinks, salty air and some of Australia’s finest country and roots artists on one beachfront stage.

Tickets are limited – round up your mates, lock in the date and book early.
