Parkes Showground Camping - 2025 Parkes Elvis Festival

PARKES SHOWGROUND CAMPING DURING 2025 PARKES ELVIS FESTIVAL

PLEASE NOTE - Parkes Showground is located on the western side of Parkes, on a higher north - lower south side of the hill. As a result quite of few of the camping sites have a noticeable slope - please check individual site information regarding site slope and electrical lead length required.

Once booked and paid for, sites cannot be changed.

Fee: $30 per site per night (plus booking fee and credit card fees apply).

A minimum booking of four nights (Thurs 9/1, Fri 10/1, Sat 11/1, Sun 12/1/2025 inclusive) is required, whether fully used or not. Extra nights are an $30 per night.

Please plan to arrive between 8:30am and 6pm only. On Wednesday 8 January the camping entry gate will shut at 4:00pm and will not reopen until 8:30am Thursday for safety reasons during the Harness Racing Meeting.

CARAVAN SITES - One caravan per site - no tents are allowed on caravan sites (all tents must be in tent area)

TENT SITES - are for tents only (not fold out campers). No vehicles are allowed in the tent area at any time for safety reasons. Dedicated parking for tent sites only is located between tents and New Amenities block.

WATER TAPS - Water taps are available throughout the grounds and are shared with other campers - there is no capacity for any one person to be connected to a tap all the time.

GENERATORS ONLY PERMITTED ON UNPOWERED SITES 12-38 and can only be used after 8am and must be turned off after 10pm. Generators are not permitted on the other unpowered sites due to proximity to other campsites

SITE SIZES AND MAXIMUM CARAVAN MEASUREMENTS

• Large - Max 32ft (maximum length incl drawbar)
• Medium - 26ft (maximum length incl drawbar)
• Small - 20ft (maximum length incl drawbar)

Showground facilities include over 300 powered sites, plus a small number of unpowered sites and tent sites with no power or water, amenitis, dump point and security patrols, all only a ten minute walk to the CBD or you can jump on the Festival Shuttle Bus between Wednesda-Sunday during the festival.

On the Showground there are four extremely clean toilet blocks (disabled toilet located at new amenities block near Victoria St entrance), two shower blocks located at the western end of the grounds, plus one relocatable shower block located at the eastern end of grounds. 

A Dump Point is located at the Amenities Block near the currajong trees, behind the stables area.

This temporary campground is proudly managed by the Parkes PA&H Association Inc in conjunction with the Parkes Showground Land Manager.
