Colonel William Light, South Australia's first Surveyor-General had an amazing life which began in Malaya. Hear stories of his travels from Penang to England, France, his time in the army in Spain, his honeymoon in Switzerland and Italy, and as a sailor to Egypt. Important Details: Please be aware that due to the fragility of some of the civic collection we ask that people refrain from touching any of the furniture or collection. Food, drink are not to be consumed during the tour. Photographs are not permitted in particular areas of the Town Hall, please check with the tour guide if you wish to take photographs.
