The Australian Wooden Boat Festival is the largest free event in Tasmania and one of the world’s premier maritime events. Volunteers, boat owners, businesses, and community groups come together once every two years to create an experience that is inclusive, educational, community-oriented, and joyous. Through a series of workshops, demonstrations, competitions, displays and interactive events we celebrate Australia's maritime heritage, and the people who keep it alive.
10 & 11 April 2021
The AWBF is hosting a Maritime Trail to be held statewide, showcasing the rich maritime heritage and culture within Tasmania. You will be invited to explore hidden boatyards, tour marinas, take a sail on a tall ship, all to celebrate our maritime culture.
